A friend was traveling to San Francisco and sent these photos from the lounge there. My first glimpse of the Painted Ladies pieces on site. It felt thrilling!
Delta Headquarters - Atlanta, Georgia
I just completed a piece for Delta Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. I had made a piece of 21 metal "birds" for the Delta Lounge at JFK and was then commissioned to make a larger piece for the Delta Headquarters. The painted metal birds go up the wall and onto the ceiling. There are about 51 of them in primary and secondary colors. My auto body shop did the painting and my gardener helped me bend each one. It was a real communal effort and the bent pieces looked wonderful as a flock taking off!
Delta Executive Lounge San Francisco Airport
I'm working on a project for Delta Airlines for their new Executive Lounge in San Francisco. I will be creating ten "row houses" like the Painted Ladies. Each one will be comprised of materials from a different major company headquartered in San Francisco. It's both challenging and really fun. This is the projected space for the ten houses.
Christmas Tree Ornament
I was asked by Nita Lowey to design an ornament for George H. W. Bush's White House Christmas Tree for New York State. Once completed, I was invited to the White House along with the 49 other artists from the other states for an elegant dinner and tour. It was pretty thrilling.
Fish in my bathroom
I'd always imagined fish when learning how to mosaic. A triptych is what ultimately resulted!
a house in siena
My husband and I rented the same wonderful stone house for 6 summers in Italy. I subsequently decided to make a mosaic of this house using an actual photo he took.
